Lusitanos | Oliveira Santos - Puro Sangue Lusitano

Founded in 1999 by Oliveira Santos family with eight mares and one stallion from Raposo Cordeiro Stud, we are exclusively dedicated to the Lusitano Horse breeding and training.

The stallion acquired then is LIDADOR, gifted with a remarkable character he represents the main line of our breeding passing on his foals and fillies his extraordinary qualities. Sons of this stallion are already trained and having good results in different disciplines such as Dressage, Working Equitation, Jumping and also Bullfighting.

Now, besides Lidador, we are using his sons VENTO and XANGAI as stallions.

It is not enough to produce good horses, we have the responsibility of breeding within the Lusitano characteristics, otherwise we will loose a heritage of centuries. The challenge is to breed Lusitanos capable of competing with sport horses, maintaining the qualities that make the Lusitano such a special horse.

The great passion we have in breeding Lusitanos leads us to make it with absolute respect of these principles, following rigorously our selection to achieve the objective.
